Who I Am
#

I’m a software developer, maker, and hardware tinkerer who loves building tools that solve real problems. For over a decade, I’ve been creating and maintaining open source projects that help creative communities bring their ideas to life.

What I Do
#

Open Source Maintenance: I’m the creator and maintainer of TEdit, the most popular Terraria map editor with 1.9k GitHub stars and millions of users worldwide. The project has been actively developed for over 10 years, evolving through major Terraria updates and a complete rewrite to bring cross-platform support.

Software Development: My work spans desktop applications, game tools, voxel rendering systems, and embedded software. I specialize in C#/.NET development, with experience in WPF, Avalonia, XNA/MonoGame, and cross-platform UI frameworks.

Hardware & IoT: Beyond software, I explore embedded systems, home automation, 3D printing, and hardware hacking. From ESP32 projects to radio signal decoding with RTL-433, I enjoy projects that bridge the digital and physical worlds.

Why I Build
#

I’m driven by curiosity about how things work and the satisfaction of creating tools that empower others. Whether it’s helping Terraria players build elaborate worlds or experimenting with new technology in my home lab, I love the process of turning ideas into functional reality.

The best part of open source? Seeing what people create with the tools you’ve built and collaborating with contributors from around the world.

Notable Projects
#

  • TEdit - Cross-platform Terraria map editor (1.9k stars, 10+ years active)
  • Transvoxel-XNA - C# implementation of the Transvoxel algorithm for seamless voxel terrain (73 stars)
  • OBD-II Dashboard - Diagnostic tools for car enthusiasts
  • Various hardware projects involving Raspberry Pi, Arduino, home automation, and IoT devices

Interests
#

  • Gaming: Terraria (obviously), sandbox games, world building
  • Technical: Voxel rendering, procedural generation, performance optimization
  • Hardware: Home servers (Unraid), cluster computing, 3D printing, laser cutting
  • Embedded Systems: ESP32/Arduino, radio communications, sensor networks

Community
#

I’m active in the TEdit community and believe in helping others learn and contribute to open source. Join us on Discord if you’re interested in Terraria map editing or want to contribute to the project.
